2013: iN4iN Africa Workshop in Kumasi – Ghana

The workshop took place at the Engineering Guest House from the 18th to 21st of October, 2013 and was the first ever in4in workshop in Africa.

During these four days, the main activities rolled out were:

  • Elaborated on theoretical and practical innovation management tools.
  • Innovative funding of African SMEs
  • Visited ADM Cocoa (Ghana) and Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd to see how entrepreneurship, through innovation is applied in modern day business.
  • Discussed the future of the in4in project with partner universities

The „Intelligence for Innovation“ is internationally focused on promoting entrepreneurship and innovation through universities. In Africa it is called the „in4in Africa Network“. Its overall goal is to expand the activities of the network on the African continent by bringing together scientific findings and practice at the doorstep of entrepreneurs who are engaged in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the African continent.

The workshop was highly successful with all the participants from the various partner institutions attending as well as student participants from the KNUST.
