iN4iN Africa Conference Ends

The iN4iN Network Africa conference has ended successfully in Adama, Ethiopia.

The iN4iN Network Africa conference has ended successfully in Adama, Ethiopia. The conference was hosted by the Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) from 2nd – 6th November, 2014. The theme for the conference was “The Role of Higher Education Institutions in Facilitating Academia – industry Linkage through Entrepreneurship and Innovation”.
The conference was graced by Prof. Dr. Utz Dornberger, the Director of the iN4iN, Prof. Mammo Muchie, NRF/DST Research Professor: Innovation & Development, Adjunct Professor, ASTU, Adama, Ethiopia, and Senior Research Associate, MTDC, Oxford University, Prof. Thairu, Commission for Tertiary Education, Kenya, Prof. Se Jung YONG Tandem Dean of SoBE, ASTU University and a host of other professors from Ethiopia and other African countries.

Workshops on how universities can promote entrepreneurship collaborating with the privates sector were organised during the conference. There were good practices shared from Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

The conference ended successfully with visits to the Metals and Engineering Corporation, BISHOFTU, Automotive Industry and GIZ office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
