Prof. Dr. Utz Dornberger

Director of the International SEPT Program (SME Promotion and Training).

He is the Director of the International SEPT Program of Leipzig University. This program especially focuses on the promotion of technology transfer and entrepreneurship in Germany as well as in several other countries around the world. His academic and professional focus is especially on innovation in SMEs, entrepreneurship promotion and internationalization processes. Currently he is also Unit Leader at Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy. His international experience in consultancy, coaching and education in private, institutional and government sectors covers five continents and over 35 countries.

Akeel Sandouk, MBA
iN4iN Network Coordinator

Akeel Sandouk is the coordinator of iN4iN Network and an expert in the MENA Region. He represents iN4iN on the side of Leipzig University and CONOSCOPE GmbH as well. After completing a Bachelor of Business and Economics at the University of Damascus with Major of Accounting, he moved to Germany and accomplished the MBA in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises SEPT at Leipzig University. He has gained experience in industrial and logistic companies and has been consulting entrepreneurs and SMEs on how to design innovative business models. He is a trainer in the field of innovative business model and development and enterprise strategy.

J. Alfredo Suvelza G., MBA
Consultant & Trainer

International consultant in innovation management and SME development. His background includes experience in governmental and non-governmental institutions as well as work with international cooperation bodies. Alfredo has also vast experience as entrepreneur in different sectors of the private economy. His activities as consultant, researcher and trainer comprise projects in Africa, East Asia, Europe, Middle-East, and Central and South America. He runs consulting and training projects with iN4iN, he is a lecturer and a member of the evaluation board of the International SEPT Program and is involved in a series of innovative projects and start-ups.

Christian Hauke, M.A.
Consultant & Trainer

He is an experienced trainer and consultant especially in the Middle East and North Africa. After he graduated in 2004 at the Leipzig University with the subjects Oriental studies, Political science and Philosophy, he gained between 2005 and 2009 multiple international experience working in educational and cultural projects mainly in countries like Egypt, United Arab Emirates or Yemen. Now he is working as a coach for young entrepreneurs at the Leipzig University. Since 2011 he is offering his expertise in innovation management and entrepreneurship mainly in the MENA Region.

Kwabena Obiri Yeboah, MBA
Africa Coordinator

Consultant, trainer and an entrepreneur. He is currently doing his PhD studies at the Leipzig University, Germany. He holds an MBA degree in SME Development from the International SEPT program at the Leipzig University, Germany. He has experience in coaching and teaching as a staff member of the Economics and Business Administration Faculty of the Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG) since 2008. He is a faculty advisor of the Enactus – CUCG organization, a community of students, academics and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world.

Alireza Ansari Vaghef, MBA
Iran Coordinator

Alireza Ansari Vaghef is the coordinator of the iN4iN Iran Network. He is currently doing his PhD studies at the Leipzig University, Germany. He holds an MBA degree in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development from the International SEPT program at the Leipzig University, Germany and also an engineering degree from Iran. He has worked as a business developer and a marketing manager in several enterprises. Among his research interests you can highlight his recent works on internationalization of SMEs and SMEs Innovation Enhancement.

Yi Zhang, MBA
Local Expert China

Yi Zhang focuses on the coordination of China related projects. He is currently doing his PhD studies at the Leipzig University, Germany. His research interest is internationalization decision making. He holds an MBA degree in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development from the International SEPT program at the Leipzig University. Mr. Zhang gained his bachelor degree of business administration at Beijing Wuzi University in China. Before Mr. Zhang came to Germany, he had work experience as account manager in the training and consulting industry in Beijing and Shanghai to take care of cooperate clients, most of which are multinational firms in China.

Claudia Nelly Berrones-Flemmig, PhD
Research Coordinator

Dr. Claudia Nelly Berrones-Flemmig is Lecturer, researcher and consultant in International SEPT Program – Small Enterprise Promotion and Training at Leipzig University, Germany. She has been Lecturer at ITESM University, Mexico and Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany. She is also international business consultant, particularly for Mexican SMEs and German Start-ups. Her practical and research interests are SME finance and SME financial management, social entrepreneurship and diaspora entrepreneurship.

Ralph Nyadu-Addo
Local Expert Ghana

Has been a Consultant in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management since 2000. From 2004 he has lectured at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He was the first Head of Centre for Business Development (CBD) and first Manager of the Kumasi Business Incubator (KBI) all in KNUST. He is certified by the National Business Incubator Association (NBIA) of USA as a trainer and coach. From 2014, he has been building capacities of tertiary institutions and vocational outfits in the area of business incubation and entrepreneurship development centres.

Richard Adu-Gyamfi, PhD
Local Expert Ghana

Richard Adu-Gyamfi is a member of the iN4iN Africa Network and a local expert in Ghana. He is currently also a junior researcher at the Graduate Centre for Social Sciences and the International Small Enterprises Promotion and Training (SEPT) Program at the Leipzig University. He has finished his PhD studies in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development in the SEPT Program at Leipzig University. He has extensive experience in multicultural project management.

Yonni Angel Cuero Acosta, PhD
Research Coordinator

Yonni Angel Cuero Acosta is a research coordinator at the International SEPT Program (SMEs Promotion and Training) from the Leipzig University. He has more than 10 years of research and work experience in innovation management, capability development, entrepreneurship and business internationalization in SMEs. His professional experience includes consulting and managing research groups. He has published articles in top international journals on the topics of economic development, innovation, entrepreneurship, dynamic of export performance, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and shared value.

Isabel Torres Zapata, PhD
Local Expert Chile

Isabel Torres Zapata has a PhD in Economic Development from the Leipzig University, Germany. She also did her Master of Arts in International Business degree at University of Zaragoza, Spain. She is an assistant professor at Faculty of Business and Administration at University Of Santiago, Chile. She lectures about financial issues in Chilean companies and is a researcher at the International Centre in Science of Accounting (C3). Her research focus is about industrialization issues in Latin American SMEs: internationalization processes, international financial management, IFRS for SMEs and Technology-intensive Suppliers. She is also a Co-founder of INDI Association.

Peter Sommer, M.Sc.
Local Expert Chile

He has a Diplom (Master) in International Economics from the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Germany. After his studies he worked several years in Germany and in Central America for the German International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH in areas related to SME, innovation, entrepreneurship and cluster promotion. He has more than 7 years of work experience in managing international projects and advising public and private actors.

Carlos Andrés Palacios Valdés
Local Expert Colombia

He is a consultant in technology and innovation management with emphasis on tools for managing the first phases of the innovation process, including the generation, evaluation and implementation of new ideas about products. Since 2004 he has been a consultant in innovation management in Siemens AG working at the corporate technology department in Munich Germany. He has given several training courses in different organizations in Latin America and Spain.

Pedro Cerrato, MBA
Local Expert Honduras

Consultant in the areas of organizational development, corporate planning, financial controlling and international commerce. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina. He has extensive experience in the effective support and management of commercial and financial matters for international organizations and a proven successful record in the coordination of cross-functional / cross-regional teams and development of KPIs and reports to support customers’ strategic planning and implementation. He is a firm believer and promoter of entrepreneurship as an activity that enables personal and national development.

Mohamed Hawass, MBA

Mr. Hawass is actively involved in the high-tech startups scene in Berlin. Currently he is the founder and CEO of ilajy Medical Tourism UG and a partner of Internsvalley GmbH. Mr. Hawass is a business consultant and a marketing expert, he has an extensive experience with different early stage startups across EMEA region. He holds an MBA in Small and Medium-sized Development from the SEPT Program at the Leipzig University.

Rafaela Bueckmann Diegoli, PhD
Local Expert Mexico

Dr. Rafaela Bueckmann Diegoli has been the Regional Director of the Entrepreneurship Institute Eugenio Garza Lagüera from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She coordinates all entrepreneurship efforts in Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Morelia, Irapuato and León. Ms. Bueckmann has more than 20 years of experience as entrepreneur, professor and consultant in entrepreneurship, innovation an personal development. She has designed several entrepreneurship educational programs and initiatives that were recognized and finalists in awards by Tecnológico de Monterrrey, QS Re-Imagine Education and ICSB.

Gonzalves Nshimiyimana, MBA
Local Expert Rwanda

Gonzalves Nshimiyimana is our local iN4iN coordinator in Rwanda. He is currently a PhD candidate and a graduate, since 2010, of the International SEPT MBA in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development, University of Leipzig, Germany. He is a passionate researcher in the area of academia-industry linkages and an experienced trainer, coach and mentor in practice-oriented business skills with emphasis on university young graduates. Since 2014 to date, he is the founder and Manager of INES-Business Incubation Center, Rwanda. Other qualifications include start-up development, Project Management, Networking and Adult training.

Philip Friebel, M.A.
Consultant & Trainer

Philip Friebel is a research fellow and coach at the SEPT International Program of the Leipzig University, Germany. He is a certified market analyst from Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and Meyer Industry Research GmbH. He also completed the Innovation Readiness Series from the IC2 Institute, an extension of the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He coordinates international knowledge transfer projects and is responsible for developing and managing knowledge transfer, exchanging experiences, and furthering the development of business in innovation and process change management for SMEs and international enterprises.

Prince Oppong Kwarteng, MBA
Local Expert Ghana

Prince Oppong Kwarteng is a trainer and currently a PhD researcher at Leipzig University. His experience and knowledge spans in areas of Business development, Banking, Project management, Financial management, Risk Management, Economic development. He has over than (10) years of private and public sectors experience in Ghana and Germany. He has also been engaged in a number of business development and start-up activities in Ghana and Germany as coach and business consultant. His research areas cover international business, entrepreneurship and economic development.
