Prof. Dr. Utz Dornberger

Director of the International SEPT Program (SME Promotion and Training).

He is the Director of the International SEPT Program of Leipzig University. This program especially focuses on the promotion of technology transfer and entrepreneurship in Germany as well as in several other countries around the world. His academic and professional focus is especially on innovation in SMEs, entrepreneurship promotion and internationalization processes. Currently he is also Unit Leader at Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy. His international experience in consultancy, coaching and education in private, institutional and government sectors covers five continents and over 35 countries.

J. Alfredo Suvelza G., MBA
Consultant & Trainer

International consultant in innovation management and SME development. His background includes experience in governmental and non-governmental institutions as well as work with international cooperation bodies. Alfredo has also vast experience as entrepreneur in different sectors of the private economy. His activities as consultant, researcher and trainer comprise projects in Africa, East Asia, Europe, Middle-East, and Central and South America. He runs consulting and training projects with CONOSCOPE GmbH, he is a lecturer and a member of the evaluation board of the International SEPT Program and is involved in a series of innovative projects and start-ups.

Leslie Karen Schröder, MBA
iN4iN Coordinator, Consultant & Trainer

Leslie Karen Schröder is the coordinator for the iN4iN Network. She is a Financial Auditor/Certified Public Accountant and holds an Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development from the International SEPT Program at the Leipzig University in Germany. Her professional background in finance and consulting companies gave her the experience managing international projects from diverse countries around the world. Her activities include training and coaching projects in the field of service design, process optimization and innovation management.

Christian Hauke, M.A.
Middle East & North Africa Coordinator, Consultant & Trainer

Is the coordinator for iN4iN projects in the Middle East and North Africa. After he graduated in 2004 at the Leipzig University with the subjects Oriental studies, Political science and Philosophy, he gained between 2005 and 2009 multiple international experience working in educational and cultural projects mainly in countries like Egypt, United Arab Emirates or Yemen. Now he is working as a coach for young entrepreneurs at the Leipzig University. Since 2011 he is offering his expertise in innovation management and entrepreneurship mainly in the Middle East and North Africa.

Mónica Guerra Jurado, MBA
Latam Coordinator

Monica is the coordinator of the iN4iN Latin America Network. Her professional experience embraces coaching for young entrepreneurs, development of innovation projects; innovation management, project management with private and public actors, marketing and sales. Monica holds a university degree in Marketing and International Business, as well as an MBA in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development from the International SEPT Program at Leipzig University. Besides the coordination of iN4iN projects, she works as a business consultant supporting Start-ups and SMEs on the development of business plans, market research and innovation management.

Richard Adu-Gyamfi, MBA
Africa Coordinator

Richard Adu-Gyamfi is the coordinator of the iN4iN Africa Network. He is currently also a junior researcher at the Graduate Centre for Social Sciences and the International Small Enterprises Promotion and Training (SEPT) Program at the Leipzig University.  He holds an MBA in Small and Medium-sized Development from the SEPT Program at the Leipzig University. He has extensive experience in multicultural project management.

Henrik Beermann, M.Sc.
Asia Coordinator

Mr. Beerman focusses on developing and implementing solutions to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in developing and emerging economies. Against the backdrop of the promotion of SMEs, he adopts an interdisciplinary nexus-perspective to analyse and manage the interplay and trade-offs between different sectors and development goals. His particular focus is on natural resource-based economic development in emerging economies. In addition to his activities at the University of Leipzig’s international MBA program „Small Enterprise Promotion and Training (SEPT)“, he works for the Leipzig Fraunhofer Center.

Alireza Ansari Vaghef, MBA
Iran Coordinator

Alireza Ansari Vaghef is the coordinator of the iN4iN Iran Network. He is currently doing his PhD studies at the Leipzig University, Germany. He holds an MBA degree in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development from the International SEPT program at the Leipzig University, Germany and also an engineering degree from Iran. He has worked as a business developer and a marketing manager in several enterprises. Among his research interests you can highlight his recent works on internationalization of SMEs and SMEs Innovation Enhancement.

Yonni Angel Cuero Acosta, M.Sc.
Research Coordinator

Yonni Angel Cuero Acosta is PhD candidate at the International SEPT Program (SMEs Promotion and Training) from the Leipzig University. He has more than 10 years of research and work experience in innovation management, capability development, entrepreneurship and business internationalization in SMEs. His professional experience includes consulting and managing research groups. He has published articles in top international journals on the topics of economic development, innovation, entrepreneurship, dynamic of export performance, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and shared value.

Omar Augusto Torres Z., MBA
Local Expert Brazil

Omar Augusto Torres Z., MBA is international consultant in innovation management and sustainable diversification. After his MBA studies, Omar has been involved in the development of technology based innovation projects of several universities in Germany, as well as in the analysis and design of technology transfer models for European cooperation consortiums. As part of the INTECRAL Project – Integration of Eco-technologies and Eco-services for the Sustainable Rural Development of Rio de Janeiro – Omar focuses on the identification of income diversification opportunities for small farmers, as well as in the development of promotion measurements for their implementation under participative principles.

Isabel Torres Zapata, PhD
Local Expert Chile

Isabel Torres Zapata has a PhD in Economic Development from the Leipzig University, Germany. She also did her Master of Arts in International Business degree at University of Zaragoza, Spain. She is an assistant professor at Faculty of Business and Administration at University Of Santiago, Chile. She lectures about financial issues in Chilean companies and is a researcher at the International Centre in Science of Accounting (C3). Her research focus is about industrialization issues in Latin American SMEs: internationalization processes, international financial management, IFRS for SMEs and Technology-intensive Suppliers. She is also a Co-founder of INDI Association.

Peter Sommer, M.Sc.
Local Expert Chile

He has a Diplom (Master) in International Economics from the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Germany. After his studies he worked several years in Germany and in Central America for the German International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH in areas related to SME, innovation, entrepreneurship and cluster promotion. He has more than 7 years of work experience in managing international projects and advising public and private actors.

Carlos Andrés Palacios Valdés
Local Expert Colombia

He is a consultant in technology and innovation management with emphasis on tools for managing the first phases of the innovation process, including the generation, evaluation and implementation of new ideas about products. Since 2004 he has been a consultant in innovation management in Siemens AG working at the corporate technology department in Munich Germany. He has given several training courses in different organizations in Latin America and Spain.

Lino Rivolta, MBA
Local Expert Costa Rica

Materials Engineer and has a MBA with postgraduate studies in Market-oriented Innovation Management. Lino has a strong experience in enterprise environment where he has managed projects in marketing, production control and basic applied research (R&D). He has participated in the conceptualization and implementation of Innovation Management systems in Costa Rican companies. He is a innovation consultant with experience in strategic planning, implementation of the balanced scorecard, evaluation and design of business models and has also applied methodologies as design thinking, focused ideation, management customer experience and stage-gate.

Kwabena Obiri Yeboah, MBA
Local Expert Ghana

Consultant, trainer and an entrepreneur. He is currently doing his PhD studies at the Leipzig University, Germany. He holds an MBA degree in SME Development from the International SEPT program at the Leipzig University, Germany. He has experience in coaching and teaching as a staff member of the Economics and Business Administration Faculty of the Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG) since 2008. He is a faculty advisor of the Enactus – CUCG organization, a community of students, academics and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world.

Ralph Nyadu-Addo
Local Expert Ghana

Has been a Consultant in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management since 2000. From 2004 he has lectured at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He was the first Head of Centre for Business Development (CBD) and first Manager of the Kumasi Business Incubator (KBI) all in KNUST. He is certified by the National Business Incubator Association (NBIA) of USA as a trainer and coach. From 2014, he has been building capacities of tertiary institutions and vocational outfits in the area of business incubation and entrepreneurship development centres.

Pedro Cerrato, MBA
Local Expert Honduras

Consultant in the areas of organizational development, corporate planning, financial controlling and international commerce. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina. He has extensive experience in the effective support and management of commercial and financial matters for international organizations and a proven successful record in the coordination of cross-functional / cross-regional teams and development of KPIs and reports to support customers’ strategic planning and implementation. He is a firm believer and promoter of entrepreneurship as an activity that enables personal and national development.

Mohamed Hawass, MBA
Local Expert MENA Region

Mr. Hawass is a coordinator in the MENA Network. He is actively involved in the high-tech startups scene in Berlin. Currently he is the founder and CEO of ilajy Medical Tourism UG and a partner of Internsvalley GmbH. Mr. Hawass is a business consultant and a marketing expert, he has an extensive experience with different early stage startups across EMEA region. He holds an MBA in Small and Medium-sized Development from the SEPT Program at the Leipzig University.

Rafaela Bueckmann Diegoli, MBA
Local Expert Mexico

Rafaela Bueckmann Diegoli, MBA, has been Director of the Enterprise Creation and Development bachelor degree program and Head of the Entrepreneurship Department in the Technological Institute of Superior Studies of Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Queretaro, Mexico. She is currently professor and consultant in the development of new businesses and projects. She has since 1998 worked on issues related to the development of entrepreneurs, as a consultant, lecturer in courses and seminars, as well as supporting business incubators. Additionally, Ms. Bueckmann Diegoli has over 7 years of experience in the private sector through managing her own services company.

Gonzalves Nshimiyimana, MBA
Local Expert Rwanda

Gonzalves Nshimiyimana is our local iN4iN coordinator in Rwanda. He is currently a PhD candidate and a graduate, since 2010, of the International SEPT MBA in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development, University of Leipzig, Germany. He is a passionate researcher in the area of academia-industry linkages and an experienced trainer, coach and mentor in practice-oriented business skills with emphasis on university young graduates. Since 2014 to date, he is the founder and Manager of INES-Business Incubation Center, Rwanda. Other qualifications include start-up development, Project Management, Networking and Adult training.
